Taylor Pierce's gift to her stepdad is a surprise to everyone

The scene begins with Taylor, a young girl, kneeling on a bed with a piercing gun in her hand. She looks up at her stepdad, who is standing in the doorway, and smiles. He looks a little surprised, but Taylor doesn't seem to notice. She begins to talk to him, but her voice is low and nervous. Finally, Taylor's stepdad looks down at her and asks what she's doing. She replies that she wants to give him a gift, but he still looks confused. She finally says that she wants him to watch as she pierces her nose. He looks shocked, but Taylor smiles and says that it's just a little piercing, and that she won't be hurt. He nods and steps back, and Taylor takes a deep breath and presses the piercing gun to her nose. The noise is loud, and Taylor's stepfather looks shocked. She laughs and says that she knows he's not used to seeing girls with piercings, but she just wanted to do something a little different for him. He nods, and Taylor finishes the piercing, smiling as she looks at her new nose ring.
